Thomas Baerwald is the Senior Science Advisor at the National Science Foundation, Behavioral and Cognitive Sciences. He is also incoming President of the Association of American Geographers. One of his recent publications is the book, World Geography: Building a Global Perspective  with Celeste Fraser, Prentice Hall, 2005.
